About

Brittany Aguilera is an interdisciplinary Chicana artist raised in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland, CA, now based in the Central Valley. She also works collaboratively with other artists including her sister Tatiana Aguilera. Brittany’s art practice focuses on art as a form of healing, working through the shadow self and the concepts of loss. Her process explores magical realism, mythology, indigenismo, caring for the earth, and connecting with her ancestors. Brittany is graduating from UC Berkeley as an Art Practice Major with a Minor in Chicana/o/x Studies.
